Some do long hours in 74 degree air conditioning. Some do those same hours breathing hot sticky South Florida air. We eat standing up most times. After 4 hours you can close your eyes, tune out the drill bits struggling with concrete  and imagine yourself in the Amazon. Concrete and stucco aficionados. Sewer line virtuosos. Crane operators playing jazz with the high rises. Beautiful funk birthed from the Blue Colla’ Blues. We’ve built the cities our descendants can’t afford. Traded ivory and gold centuries before the world decided to trade people.
